Older Adult Qigong 

Qigong is a gentle, flowing mind body practice. Sets of movements are easily learned and offer many benefits for maintaining health during the senior years. As a low impact weight bearing activity qigong helps to improve strength, co-ordination and balance. These are important factors for fall prevention. The connection to mind, body and breath aids in alleviating stress and anxiety. Join Linda to learn simple forms of Qigong that you can immediately bring into your daily life. This is an empowering practice.
All levels are welcome. 
Qigong can be practiced both standing and seated.

Qigong for Stress Relief

Feeling busy with no time to take care of yourself? The easy to learn Qigong form of Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi can help. Qigong can help you to feel more present. Practising Qigong gives time for your nervous system to replenish. The gentle flowing movements of Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi are soothing for the soul. Qigong helps to balance your energy and clear the mind. Each session will conclude with a guided relaxation. Please bring any props that will optimize your comfort level during the guided relaxation.

Aqua Therapy

This program, completed exclusively in our warm water therapy pool, is designed to be gentle on joints while focusing on muscular conditioning, improving strength, balance and flexibility. The program is designed to allow participants to stay active, reduce chronic pain and aid in preventing future injuries.

Arthritis Aquafit

This specialty class is geared towards those who suffer from arthritis. The objective of the recreational exercises is to reduce overall pain levels, and help maintain or increase joint mobility, muscular strength and endurance.
1.55 to 2.40 pm

Explore the dimensions of aquatic exercise. This low impact exercise class conducted in both shallow and deep water provides a moderate to high energy, total body conditioning workout. It is suitable to all ages, skill and fitness levels. Buoyancy belts are recommended and available.
